Once upon a time, Mrs. Lan decided to make a new quilt for the autumn season and named it “Peaceful Autumn Colors.” She prepared meticulously, selecting fabric pieces in the colors of autumn leaves – from bright yellow, warm orange, to deep red and cozy brown. She even drew a detailed plan, mapping out how each piece of fabric would be sewn together.
One afternoon, Mrs. Lan decided to start her project. She carefully cut each piece of fabric and arranged them on the table. However, Mr. Minh – her husband – unexpectedly came home early with a surprise gift: a playful kitten named Cloud. Cloud was adorable and energetic, and immediately jumped onto the table to “help” Mrs. Lan by tossing the fabric pieces all over the room.
Mrs. Lan tried to catch Cloud, but the little kitten darted everywhere, leaping onto chairs, tables, and bookshelves. Finally, Mrs. Lan managed to catch Cloud and put him in a basket, but by then, the fabric pieces were completely mixed up.
Not disheartened, Mrs. Lan decided to rearrange everything from scratch. But to her surprise, in the process of reordering, she discovered a new combination of colors that was much more beautiful and harmonious than her original plan. She silently thanked Cloud for his unexpected “help.”
After a week of hard work (and a few more times of Cloud “helping”), the “Peaceful Autumn Colors” quilt was finally completed. When she looked at her finished product, Mrs. Lan couldn’t help but laugh, remembering the chaotic moments Cloud had created. The quilt was not only beautiful but also filled with fun and memorable moments.
And from then on, every time she used the “Peaceful Autumn Colors” quilt, Mrs. Lan smiled, recalling the funny story behind its creation. And, of course, Cloud always had a warm spot right beside her, on that very quilt.
