In a small corner of the cozy room, there lies an old bed adorned with a colorful patchwork quilt. Each piece of fabric on the quilt carries a memory, a unique story.
During warm summer days, when my grandma was still alive, we would gather around her at the workstation, admiring the old fabric pieces being stitched together to form intricate patterns on the quilt. Grandma would share stories of bygone days, of family members, of winter mornings spent quilting.
Each fabric piece on the quilt is a treasure, a legacy of time and love. From my grandfather’s old shirts to fabric scraps collected on family outings, each piece holds a piece of the past.
When my grandma passed away, the patchwork quilt became a part of the memories and love she had bestowed upon us. From then on, I decided to continue the tradition and create “Nana’s Quilt Treasures” – a collection of handmade pieces steeped in memories and affection, to commemorate my grandma and our family treasures.
