The “Cottage Windows” quilt evokes the image of cozy windows in a serene countryside cottage. With a blend of vibrant fabrics, from bold reds to earthy tones, this quilt resembles a perfect painting of nature outside a window. Each square represents a different view, like interwoven memories, reminiscent of quiet afternoons when golden sunlight filters through the curtains.
Creating this quilt was a delightful yet challenging DIY experience. Selecting each fabric piece to enhance the light effect through the “windows” consumed much time in the quilting room. However, every time a piece found its perfect place, the sense of accomplishment grew, as if arranging memories exactly where they belong. “Cottage Windows” is not just a quilt pattern but a connection between the maker and feelings of home, nostalgia, and nature.
