This pillow front is my little celebration of sunshine and color. I started with a bold spiral sun in golden yellow then let the rays burst out freely in every direction, using scraps I love: florals, bright batiks, little bits of stories from other quilts.
The curved quilting gives it movement, almost like the sun is really shining through. It’s playful, warm, and full of energy the kind of piece that feels like a smile every time you see it.
